There are many way that a person tries to reach God and perhaps have a relationship with Him. One way is religion, many go to church and start to wear the religious hat but this does not necessarily the way to reach God, others try to do good this is admirable but again this is not the way either, others try through other various ways but again they come short to reach God. There are so many good people that have a desire to reach God and they seem to fall short to achieve this, some do to themselves physical harm, like carrying a wooden cross, or whip themselves until their backs is like a pulp of bleeding flesh. All of these things cannot and will not open the way to reach God. Jesus made a statement "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" this statement is real today as it was when it was made, there is only one way to reach God and that is Jesus. Jesus went through a punishment that really we should have gone through He died in our place on the most cruel instrument of death the Roman cross. When he cried it is finished the way was opened for sinners to be able to receive salvation through Christ Jesus "whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved". There is only one way and that is Jesus.
